Jake Stergos is a multi-instrumentalist with an undergraduate degree in Jazz Bass Performance at Webster University. He is an experienced jazz performer, having played with the Jake Heberlie Trio, established St. Louis jazz musicians such as Willie Akins and Tom Byrne, and working bands such as Sarah Jane and the Blue Notes. Jake was also the Band Director for the Repertory Theater of St. Louis's 2014 production of One Man, Two Guvnors, in addition to being the lead vocalist and bassist in the production. He has studied jazz bass with Willem von Hombracht, classical bass with Erik Harris of the St. Louis Symphony, classical piano with Daniel Schene, and jazz piano with Carolbeth True as well. He is well-versed in many diverse styles of music, ranging from staples of the classical (orchestral, chamber, and solo) repertoire, a myriad of jazz standards, and contemporary rock and pop music. Jake Stergos has been teaching since 2008 in a variety of locations, and began working at David's Guitar Loft in January 2015.
