LESSON INFORMATION

Why take lessons at David's Guitar Loft?
Throughout my 19 years of teaching and performing I have developed a curriculum based upon fundamentals which lead to results for any level or style. Our staff is comprised of formally trained teachers who perform and teach all styles of music professionally. We all follow a centralized methodology and enjoy what we do. Translation; you will learn and you will have a great time!

What will be covered in the one hour private lesson?
There are 3 major areas stressed in each 1 hour lesson. First, technique , which is the physical ability to play the things you want to play. This is accomplished through a wide variety of exercises for both hands. Second, Knowledge , which is the ability to understand the fretboard, chord-key relationships, scales and improvisation, and chart reading. Third is the application of technique and concepts. This is specifically the ability to apply what is learned through improvisation, and playing of songs. Each of these areas vary greatly depending on each student's goals and playing level, our staff treats each student as an individual by molding the program to the student's specific desires.

What are the free improvisation sessions available for students?
Improvisation and group playing are an important part of learning an instrument so I invite students to participate in group workshops on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00pm to 11:00pm for adults and from 3:00pm to 5:00pm on Saturdays for 18 and under. We also offer an acoustic session on Wednesday from 8:30 to 10 pm. In these workshops guitar and bass students play through songs with a drummer, vocalists, and staff. This is a great way to apply what is being learned in a live setting.

What is the cost and how do I sign up?
The Cost of the weekly one hour private lesson is $35.00 or $40.00 which includes lesson materials such as charts, fretboard diagrams, chord charts, etc... Lessons are paid in advance which reserves the weekly lesson time for the student. Lessons start on the hour Monday through Thursday from noon until 9:00pm, Fridays from noon to 6:00pm, and Saturdays from 9:00am until 5:00pm.
