Teaching Staff
David Mark: Instructor, Owner
David has been a teacher of guitar and bass for 20 years. He has been performing in rock, jazz and blues bands since the fall of 1986. He received his degree in computer information systems (CIS) with a minor in music theory from Southwest Missouri State University in 1991. David has a true passion for guiding people through their musical journey and loves sharing the enjoyment of music.
Joel Crews: Instructor, Director of Music Instruction

Joel has been teaching guitar for 12 years and has a Masters degree from Webster University in Jazz Studies. Joel is a faculty member at Forest Park Community College in the music department. He plays in several bands around St. Louis, including Webster-based "The Committed". Joel has an incredible command of theory as it relates to the fingerboard. He has an exceptional knack for teaching all ages and all levels.
Aaron Doerr: Instructor

Aaron has a B.A. in Audio Production from Webster University. Aaron has been studying guitar for 12 years, has studied theory and played in combo formats for the past 4 years. Aaron enjoys the music of Charlie Hunter and Phish.
Aaron recommends the following albums: Vestpertine by Bjork, deep song by Kurt Rosenwinkle, Right now Move by Charlie Hunter, John scofield's live album, and anything by Medeski Martin and Wood
Ryan Haas: Instructor

Ryan has a B.M. in Jazz Perfromance from Webster University. Ryan has been playing and studying guitar for over 15 years. Ryan can be seen playing around St. louis with his band Omerta. Ryan is well versed in all styles of music and has incredible technique while showing a strong command of the instrument.
Thomas Carpenter: Instructor

Tom has a B.A. in audio production from Webster University. Tom has been playing and studying guitar for 17 years. He has taken music theory classes while pursuing his degree at Webster University. Tom enjoys classic rock, metal and is currently studying jazz guitar. His favorite bands are Van Halen, Led Zeppelin and The Smashing Pumpkins.

Greg Turner: Instructor

In 2007, Greg completed a Bachelor of Arts in Music Degree at Washington University where he studied music theory and jazz guitar. Greg first developed an interest in the guitar after seeing Michael J. Fox as Marty McFly rock out on “Johnny B. Goode” in the film Back to the Future. At age 10, he bought his first guitar and began to rock out on his own and now he enjoys an eclectic array of music from all over the globe but his favorites include the Beatles, Bob Dylan, Tom Waits, Caetano Veloso, Talking Heads and Miles Davis. Erik Muir: Instructor

Erik Has been studying the guitar for 15 years. He has been teaching for over 6 years and is currently working on a music degree. Erik has studied at East Central College as well as Webster University. Erik has a passion for composing, arranging, and songwriting and enjoys playing and teaching all styles of music including bluegrass, blues, jazz, country...... Erik has a very strong knowledge of music theory and a great vision for how theory relates to the fingerboard. Erik enjoys computer programming for a hobby and prides himself in the fact that he can sove a rubik's cube in under 4 minutes!
Shawn Lucas: Instructor

Shawn is currently attending Webster University for composition. He has been teaching guitar for 6 years. Shawn enjoys the music of Led Zeppelin, John Coltrane and many classical composers. Shawn's primary drive and passion is composition.
