Cannon has been playing drums for over 19 years and has always performed to his fullest capcity at every turn. After having studied privately on a collegiate level, and being highly awarded while attending interim sessions hosted by both Berklee College of Music in L.A. and in Boston, Cannon has returned to his home in St. Louis to further his experiences in music education and performance by continuing his career locally. Past experience includes playing as a supporting act for such artists as Busta Rhymes, Demian Marley and the Roots, while also playing on stage with DJ Logic (MMW), Fareed Haque (Sting), and Mike Stern (Miles davis). Cannon emphasizes utilizing proper technique and listening skills to help adapt to whatever styles the student chooses. When not teaching Cannon can be found performing with the newly formed modern jazz trio DOWNSTEREO at the Delmar Lounge in University City every sunday night from 8-10pm, as well as entertaining large audiences out in the county playing Rock and Blues with the Red House Band.
