The Morgan Concert Florentine Cutaway Acoustic Guitar is handcrafted in North Vancouver, British Columbia by luthier David Iannone. Morgan Guitars was established in 1985 after Iannone completed his traditional apprenticeship under Canadian guitar builder Jean Larrivée. Morgan instruments are still built in small numbers, with an emphasis on careful construction and well-seasoned tonewoods.
This Concert model features a solid AAAA Sitka spruce top with solid aged AAAA South American mahogany back and sides, offering a clear, balanced sound with strong note definition and a warm midrange. The Florentine cutaway provides easier access to the upper frets while giving the guitar a distinctive look.
A one-piece mahogany neck and ebony fingerboard provide a solid, traditional feel, while the bone nut and saddle help transfer string vibration efficiently. Additional appointments include an ebony bridge with ebony bridge pins, chrome closed-gear tuners, an endpin jack, and a deluxe hardshell case.
